Apenas um dos quatro pontos fixos de onde partem as ambulâncias do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) de Fortaleza contou com equipe médica ontem. Até as 19 horas, o médico Gilson Melo Pinheiro havia atendido seis ocorrências em diferentes bairros da Capital. “Estou sozinho no plantão. É ruim que a gente perde muito tempo no deslocamento”, diz.
Os outros três pontos fixos - nos bairros João XXIII, Parquelândia e Meireles - estavam sem médico porque um grupo de profissionais pediu descredenciamento do Samu, conforme O POVO noticiou na Coluna Política de sábado. Com a equipe reduzida, o atendimento de urgência fica ainda mais caótico.
Gilson exemplifica. Ontem de manhã, ele precisou se deslocar da avenida dos Expedicionários - onde há um ponto fixo do Samu - até o bairro Pirambu. Foram cerca de 20 minutos. Embora o tempo esteja dentro da média do Samu de Fortaleza, o atendimento poderia ter sido mais ágil se a ambulância tivesse partido da Parquelândia, onde também há um ponto fixo.
“Quando a gente chegou (no Pirambu), o senhor já tinha falecido”, informa o médico. Gilson lembra que o caso serve de alerta, embora não se possa afirmar que a morte do paciente teria sido evitada se a ambulância tivesse chegado minutos antes. “Até porque ele já estava agonizando”.
O diretor clínico do Samu, Messias Simões, afirma que os atendimentos não têm sido prejudicados. Ele explica que a equipe completa é de sete médicos por plantão: três na Central de Regulação (atendendo e fazendo triagem das ligações do 192) e quatro nos pontos fixos de onde partem as ambulâncias.
Ontem, segundo ele, quatro médicos compareceram ao trabalho. Três ficaram na Central de Regulação e apenas um - o médico Gilson Melo - ficou diretamente no atendimento de urgência. “Mas os da Central podem ser deslocados se for necessário”.
Até as 19 horas de ontem, somente Gilson havia realizado os atendimentos. A ambulância em que ele trabalha teve de se deslocar para os bairros Pirambu, Maraponga, Planalto Ayrton Senna, Tancredo Neves, Pici e Jangurussu. “Não foi preciso outra equipe”, diz o diretor clínico do Samu.
Messias ressalta que os médicos só são acionados nos casos mais graves, que representam cerca de 10% dos atendimentos. “É quando tem insuficiência respiratória, sangramento interno, capotamento, ferimento por arma de fogo, envenenamento”, cita. Na maioria das ocorrências, é enviada a chamada unidade de suporte básico, que não precisa de ambulância com UTI móvel nem médico.

Ainda de acordo com Messias, na segunda-feira o número de atendimentos foi maior do que a média, mesmo com a equipe reduzida. Messias diz que, até ontem, sete médicos haviam se descredenciado do Samu. A categoria afirma que foram 18.

The clinical director of Samu, Messiah Simoes said that the consultations have not been harmed. He explained that the team is full of seven doctors per shift: three in the Central Regulatory (answering and making calls from screening of 192) and four fixed points from where the ambulances.
Yesterday, he said, four doctors came to the job. Three were in the Central Regulatory and only one - the Gilson Melo - was directly in emergency care. "But the Center can be moved if necessary."
Even 19 hours yesterday, Gilson had only performed the treatments. The ambulance in which he works had to move to neighborhoods Pirambu, Maraponga, Plateau Ayrton Senna, Tancredo Neves, Pici and Jangurussu. "We did not need another team," says clinical director of the SEMC.
Messiah highlights that doctors are only triggered the most serious cases, which represent about 10% of visits. "It's when you have respiratory failure, internal bleeding, rollover, injury by firearms, poisoning," she notes. In most instances, the call is sent basic support unit, which needs no mobile ICU ambulance or doctor.

It was 17:20 when the team was informed that Samu gentleman of 64 years had been hit in Valparaiso Avenue.
The ambulance arrived within twenty minutes and provided first aid.

Also according to the Messiah, on Monday the number of visits was higher than average, even with reduced staff. Messiah says, until yesterday, seven doctors had accredited the SEMC. The category will have it 18.
